Often these internships lead to part-time and full-time job offers. They have regularly interned at the German American Chamber of Commerce and the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
Our students gain marketability for global careers, with strong connections to fields like history, philosophy, music, art, STEM and more. We bring writers, actors, politicians, and other speakers to campus, and we visit local museums and cultural institutions together – often in conjunction with our popular, student-run German Club. 
We offer flexible and affordable study abroad programs during the summer and the academic year, supported by scholarships from the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg and from the Max Kade Foundation. Our major and minor can easily be combined with other courses of study. For all beginning and intermediate courses, and many advanced courses as well, we use textbooks and online materials authored by our own faculty, many of which are provided to students at zero cost. We offer a range of courses at the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels, and we measure and support students' progress every step of the way. We help them to access extraordinary cultural events, internships, and employment opportunities in the heart of our global city. The best locations for Canada Geese are around open fields, so the east half of the map including Schönfeldt.We are the largest undergraduate German program in New York State and the surrounding region. Apart from the addition of the jackrabbits, the locations of other animals have changed as well (mostly Moose). Updated after the release of white-tailed jackrabbit. Important Note: Animals roam in other locations too and it’s possible that you find other species (less common) in a location than shown. The very best spots are marked by a yellow star, usually you’ll find plenty of animals over there. Check the legend at the bottom of the map to find out what color represent each species. These can be big (very common) or small (common). There are colored circles on the border of the yellow lines showing what animals are most common over there. These spots often have a good view and feature several need zones. Locations with good animal population are encircled by a yellow line on the map.
